Due Diligence Ecometal Plant, 200 ktpa, POX Leaching of Cu Concentrates and ADR Gold Recovery

- PMC analyzed the feasibility of pressure leaching of Cu-Au concentrates from Codelco.
- In autoclave leaching, 98% Cu extraction is obtained, generating a PLS solution that will go to the SX-EW plant to get cathodes as an alternative process to smelting.
- The contaminating arsenic in these concentrates is retained as scorodite, an iron compound.
- The gold accumulates in the leaching residue and is recovered through cyanidation and ADR purification, which is Adsorption-Desorption-Recovery using activated carbon and EW.
